And the Lüneburg Heath is a delight with its countless hiking, biking and riding paths. The Weser Hills are attractive with happily waving fairy tale figures and enchanting with their romantic streams. The Ems area, Osnabrück country and Bentheim county are impressive with their nature and history.

The tourist destination Niedersachsen continues to develop new projects for travellers and expand existing structures. The main travel destinations are and will be the seven East Frisian Islands and the North Sea coast. Every year millions of people spend their holidays entirely in the very north of Niedersachsen. Also the wellness and health-oriented facilities in the area between the Harz mountains and the coast are in the spotlight. Niedersachsen, with approximately 50 spas and health resorts, 30 climatic spas and 100 leisure resorts, provides a variety of offers, exclusive accommodations and competent staff.

Also the towns in Niedersachsen keep expanding their offerings. Along with good shopping facilities the choice of art and culture facilities is constantly being extended. New leisure and adventure parks in the travel destination Niedersachsen such as the cave discovery centre Iberger Tropfsteinhöhle in the Harz mountains, the Battle of the Teutoburg Forest visitor centre or the adventure zoo in Hanover excite their visitors. The Autostadt Wolfsburg has around two million visitors each year, and nowhere else in Europe is there a similarly large collection of leisure and adventure parks as in the Lüneburg Heath, which feature one-of-a-kind rides, sporty hands-on activities and exotic animals.
